Inversions and Scoliosis – Iyengar Yoga

In this session, Lili demonstrated three inversions she has been working on.

First, she had to strengthen her neck, shoulder, and back muscles while refining her awareness. Previously, she used to strain herself by practicing the postures incorrectly. However, after many hours of study and practice, she has learned the correct directions to be in a balanced and stable mind and body set.

While studying in the teacher training program, Lili gained a better understanding of her body and what is needed for her condition.

With each day of practice, we can gain a better understanding of ourselves and become our own best teachers.
