Iyengar Yoga Intermediate Level-Balancing

The ability to balance: Life is not static, there are always changes coming our way, and our ability to process these are important.

According to Iyengar’s teaching, yoga develops one’s intrinsic abilities and innovative capabilities.  Its practice that disciplines the body, cultivates strength and endurance in each and every cell of one’s being, generates confidence, and develops clarity in one’s intelligence

This class focuses on balance in various positions.  Our physical stability and mental stability go hand in hand.  This practice will help you recognize your state of mind, cultivate particular actions to stabilize the body while observing and spreading your awareness, creating better focus.

Conscious Movement

“Action is movement with intelligence. The world is filled with movement. What the world needs is more conscious movement, more action.”
— B.K.S. Iyengar

If we take these words of wisdom to heart we should naturally slow down, become more aware and conscious of our actions. Daily we have the opportunity to take our yoga practice off the mat, to guide our actions with focused and purposeful awareness.
